Wow!
Our first blog entry! Here at Dancing Pig Studios, we have been working hard to accomplish all of the tasks associated with starting your own craft company! Our group is composed of Mark (the master artisan) and Betty (the wreath lady) and Phyllis (designer-well maybe assistant and cleanup is more accurate!). We all have different passions that we pursue including stained glass, fiber arts, wreaths and arrangements, and chalk painted signs.
So, in January 2018, we decided to pursue our dream of a craft business. The last six months have been a flurry of to-do items! Every small to-do item has an unending list of tasks (or it seemed like it to us). But, we are ready (we think) to begin this journey. And if you ask us what our most challenging task has been….get ready, and don’t laugh…SHIPPING!
With the hard part of going online over, we are shifting our attention back to the fun part of the business, crafting. We hope to use our blog to bring you crafting ideas, give you insight on how we make items, and maybe even post how-to-videos (if we work up the nerve to be on camera). We’ll also let you know about craft shows and special events we will be attending throughout the year. If you want to stay up-to-date, make sure you hit the subscribe button.
We are hard at work creating new and exciting items for the site. We have to get busy. As of today, there are only: 176 days until Halloween; 198 days until Thanksgiving; and, 231 days until Christmas. But who’s counting, right?
